The Chicago campus of UICOM gives each incoming student a paper copy of First Aid for the USMLE Step 1 when they matriculate as M1s. So, the incoming students in fall 2019 would receive a 2019 version of the book.
Why am I bringing this up?
In the legacy curriculum, Chicago faculty / course directors would include relevant pages from First Aid for each activity throughout the semester, and this was added to the schedule. We don’t really do that as much anymore, and I am rallying for us to consider including it again. Students rely on First Aid, so let’s make it easier for them, by including relevant pages for each activity in our not-so-new-anymore curriculum. In addition, Osmosis includes relevant page numbers for almost all concepts and topics.
